Love Has Gone A-Tumbling
by C. Carson Parks

& Jeff Foote

Though love has gone a-tumbling
And set my dreams a-wry
I think that I just heard you say "good-bye".

I see my castles crumbling
And the dust gets in my eye
I still recall the joys of days gone by.

Well, I've heard that word before,
But it never sounded more like death to me.
But after you are gone
I am sure that I'll live on so patiently,
Hopefully; maybe she will come to me

Oh why am I just mumbling?
But if you look in my eye,
You'll see the words that I can't say:
“I’ll love you 'til I die!”
